About This Event :The goal of the Holiday Baseball Camps/Clinics are (1) to offer a setting that enables prospective student-athletes an opportunity to showcase their individual talents; (2) to provide an environment to learn and improve mechanics and fundamentals in specific baseball skills; and (3) to offer the best quality instruction to ensure a positive baseball experience and prepare each player for their respective levels of competition. Coach David Perno In 2009, Perno guided Georgia to a 14-0 start, breaking the 98-year old record for the best start in school history and the program's first No. 1 ranking in the regular season. The Bulldogs led the SEC with a school record 109 home runs and for the second straight year under Perno, Georgia set school records for total attendance and average attendance at Foley Field. In June's MLB Draft, Georgia led the country with a school record 11 players selected.

Coaching Staff Jason Eller -Assistant Coach / Recruiting Coordinator
Jason Eller is in his eighth season on the staff at the University of Georgia including his fourth year as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator. A native of Marietta, Ga., Eller has helped Georgia to three College World Series appearances since 2004, and he has set a new standard in Bulldog recruiting with 22 members getting selected in the past three Major League Baseball drafts.

Brady Wiederhold -Assistant Coach / Pitching
A veteran of the post season, Brady Wiederhold has been a part of staffs that have advanced to the Division I College World Series three times and the Division II College World Series four times. In his third year at Georgia in 2009, he helped guide the Bulldogs to their 2nd consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament after finishing as the SEC Champions and a CWS Finalist in 2008.

Kris Edge - Director of Baseball Operations
A four-year starting outfielder for Georgia from 1999-2002, Kris begins his first season back with the Bulldogs as the director of baseball operations. Edge, 29, will handle alumni relations, camps and assist in various administrative duties

Facilities Camp activities will be held at Foley Field, home of the University of Georgia Bulldogs, and other adjacent athletic fields for certain instructional times and specific needs. Foley Field has recently been voted one of the top 10 college baseball facilities in the country. This 3.5-million dollar stadium named for Judge Frank Foley is one of the finest baseball complexes in the country. Judge Foley was one of the many great baseball players who have graced the University of Georgia baseball diamond, and because of his athletic talent and kind spirit, the home of Georgia baseball was dubbed Foley Field in his honor. The stadium seats 3,291 spectators in chair-back and bleacher-style seats. The lower level houses recently renovated locker and training rooms for players and coaches, along with indoor practice facilities.

8th Annual "Top Dawg" Prospect Camp (Ages 15-18) Saturday, October 31st & Sunday, November 1st

This camp has blossomed over the years as the "premier" camp we offer to our potential student-athletes. The entire camp exemplifies the "TOTAL" University of Georgia baseball experience. We use the "Top Dawg" Prospect Camp as our premier showcase exposing you and your parent(s)/guardian(s)to the entire UGA baseball program.

*Campers are exposed to specific position drills and fundamentals
3.Strength & Conditioning Seminar
*Conducted by UGA Baseball Strength Coach.
4.Specialized Hitting Instruction & Drill Sets
*Hitting Philosophies, Techniques and Evaluations
5.Academic Meeting & Advisement Session
*Overview of academic policy of UGA baseball student-athlete
6.Minimum of (2) 7-inning games played on Foley Field
*Campers participate in Games with certified umpires
7.Participate in "Pro Tryout" Session
*Designed to increase campers foot speed, arm strength and fielding ability


Over the years, this camp has spearheaded the majority of our recruiting for not only the upcoming year, but years beyond as well. 75% of our current roster has attended a University of Georgia Baseball Camp!
