| Camp Quotes |
Tiger Style Wrestling Camps is second to none. Having attended with my teams since Coach Smith has taken over the Missouri wrestling program, I can say with certainty that the camp continues to improve and gets better and better every year. The one on one instruction is incredible, and this year I witnessed something truly amazing. On the last night of camp, an hour after the evening session (after 10 p.m.), I witnessed at least 150-200 kids still working with counselors and coaches on technique. They could not get the kids to leave. My hat goes off to Coach Smith, his staff and wrestlers on taking an individual interest in every kid and team that attends the camp every year. | Head Coach Brian Smith |
Beginning his career as Missouri's seventh Head Wrestling Coach, Brian Smith sat down with his team and made a list of goals that he hoped to help the 1998 squad and future Tiger teams accomplish. Over the past 10 years, Smith and the 133 men that have come through the varsity program have slowly but surely checked items off the list. Individual Big 12 Conference Champions, improved grade-point averages, record-setting attendances, a No. 1 national ranking and Missouri's first-ever NCAA National Champion in wrestling were all on Smith's "to-do" list. His unique TigerStyle training program has molded today's team into a national powerhouse that looks to contend for the program's first NCAA title. Link : More on Coach Brian Smith |

| The Tiger Wrestling Facility - Home of the Tiger Style Intensive Camp |
Located on the fourth floor of the Hearnes Center, the original wrestling facility was first used in 1972 by then-Head Coach Hap Whitney and his Tiger squad. With one-and-a-half circles, the facility held one of the largest mat areas in the nation. Three coaches and 32 years later, the Missouri wrestling team moved into its current home, a state-of-the-art facility, also located in the fourth floor of Hearnes. Opened in the Fall of 2004, the converted basketball practice gymnasium houses three full-size competition circles (60x104 feet of mat area), 46 stadium seats and a cardiovascular workout area. The old wrestling room is now the Mizzou Wrestling Teams personal weight room. Current Head Coach Brian Smith and his team are once again at home in one of the largest facilities in the nation.
