Campers can choose "Make your own Schedule"	The Athens Pirates Summer Baseball Camp provides the ability to have your kids attend our camps that is suitable to your schedule. For example, our unique flexible schedule option "Make your own Schedule" allows a camper to design his/her own camp schedule. E.G. Choose only Mondays for 4 consecutive weeks. Or choose only Tuesdays for 4 consecutive weeks. Or choose Mondays every other week for a total of 4 weeks. Or almost any combination option of 4 weeks for each session purchased. If "Make your own Schedule" is your Event Category, simply provide your required 4 dates in the appropriate question (on page two) and we will accommadate your request.
Special Lessons Independent of Camp	The Athens Pirates offers individualized lessons separate from our camps. Lessons are available at a fraction of the market cost through other sources. Please contact us at: athenspirates@yahoo.com or call 706-296-4054 for details.
The Great South League	The Great South League is known as "The Mega League of the South". The GSL consists of 19 teams located in 6 states ranging from Lynchburg, VA to Birmingham AL. The league is operated and sponsored by the non-profit Georgia Dugout Club, a state-wide organization promoting baseball in the State of Georgia. All high schools and colleges in the State of Georgia benefit thought the Georgia Dugout Club and its awards and clinics. The GSL is a wooden bat league which uses MLB specification baseballs and equipment. The League is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of member teams and at large members. The League plays about a 40 game schedule with doubleheaders on weekends & two games during the week. Our schedule permits players to have summer jobs, attend summer school, and play baseball. Camp	Learn the Mechanics of Hitting, Pitching, Defense, Base Running Skills! Players will be divided by Age & Skills. The Pirates are offering eight weekly camps consisting of 4 days each from (9am to 1pm) for kids ages 5-17 . The Dates of the camp are: May 31-June 1,2 and 3; June 7-10; June 14-17; June 21-24; June 28-July 1; July 5-8; July 12-15; and July 19-22. The cost of the camp: $100/week or $30/Day
Coaching Staff	Shane Daniel, General Manager of the Athens Pirates, Jeff Kilgore, Assistant Coach and 30 College All-Star Baseball Players from across North America. The Athens Pirates are members of the Great South League (greatsouthleague.com ). All players are potential Major League Baseball prospects. This camp helps college players earn money for the summer and may raise funds for the Pirates. The camp will improve skills and knowledge of the game of baseball regardless of age. Being involved with College players and learning from them is our goal.
Full Service Concession	The Pirates offer a full-service Concession (operated by The Cedar Shoals Dugout Club) Stand at modest prices including fresh grilled burgers and hot dogs, nachos, drinks, and more. Official team souvenirs (t-shirts, balls, hats) are available at very reasonable prices. HOST FAMILY PROGRAM Each summer families in our community open their hearts and homes to our out-of-state ball players. This is a wonderful opportunity for "mentoring" young ball players. Mail-in applications	If you elect to mail in your registration, please print the application accordingly and send to: Athens Pirates, P.O. Box 462, Nicholson, GA 30565. A parent or guardian MUST sign this form if the child is under the age of 18. On Line Registration	When you choose to register on line there is a 5.5% processing fee and you lock in your spot instantly. You simply print your receipt of the transaction and we include all required forms for camp. You also receive an immediate email confirmation containing all pertinent info should they be misplaced. Please register early, due to the limited number of spots available. Mail in applications will be accepted up to May 15th, only On Line Registration will be accepted thereafter. This Site does not store your credit card number or use your registration information for marketing purposes for any reason!
Event Waiver :	I hereby give consent for my child to participate in the “Athens Pirates Baseball Camp”. In consideration of the foregoing, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns, waive and release any and all rights, claims and courses of action I have or may have against The Athens Pirates LLC, its affiliates, their agents, employees, officers, directors, successors, volunteers, associates, and assigns, Athens-Clarke County Government, Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services, and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my child's (children's) participation in The Athens Pirate Summer Camp and any pre- and post- event activities and hold them harmless and waive subragation against them. I attest and verify that my child(ren) is (are) physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and my child's (children's)condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising.
