Men Mike Bottom Recognized as one of the finest swimming coaches in the world, Mike Bottom returned to the collegiate coaching ranks when he accepted the reigns of the University of Michigan men’s swimming and diving program on June 10, 2008.

Women Jim Richardson enters his 25th year at the helm of the women's swimming program at Michigan. During his tenure at Michigan, the Wolverines have had unparalleled success in the Big Ten Conference, while also achieving several firsts on the national level. His teams won 12 consecutive league titles from 1987-98, a precedent among Big Ten women's athletic teams, before adding the team's 13th in 2001 and 14th in 2004, a league high for a women's sport.

CAMP EMPHASIS: The Wolverine Swim Camp Technique option (4-6,000 yds./day) is designed for individual and group instruction in fundamental and advanced stroke skills, and start and turn techniques. An optional training workout is available. The use of a Finis Snorkel is strongly recommended. You may purchase one below at a significant discount.* The Intensive Training option (~12,000 yds./day) is available for swimmers 12 and over, and already in shape. This option includes 2 water training workouts per day, 1 dryland workout, and enrollment is subject to the swimmer's ability to train. Resident Camp All sessions begin on Sunday evening and conclude by Friday noon. The dorm is open to all participants ages 10 - 18. The cost of the week long camp is $670. This includes instruction, swim cap, T-shirt, photo, custom videotape, booklet, goody bag, room, board, and use of the facilities.
The first meal will be MONDAY BREAKFAST, and the last will be FRIDAY BREAKFAST. Lodging is Sunday through Thursday night. The camp will end at 11:00 am on Friday.
Room assignments will be made by residence hall counselors at registration. Roommates should check in together. In order to guarantee you a space, please Register on line here. You still could send a deposit of $200 ($100 of which is non-refundable) along with paper application but if paying by check, the balance will be due and payable by May 1. After May 1, only online payment through this website, cashier’s checks, money orders, or cash will be accepted. All camps are limited to 170 residents. Once a week is full, we cannot accept additional applications.

Facilities The Don Canham Natatorium at University of Michigan is one of the premier indoor training facilities in the USA. The 50 meter by 25 yard competition pool provides 8 lanes for long course training and 22 lanes for short course. The 6 lane diving pool provides an excellent venue for underwater mobile filming. Our STS mobile underwater camera is the same system used at the Olympic Training Center. A 5000 square foot dryland training area utilizes state of the art equipment for our dryland program designed by Vern Gambetta.

LIVING ACCOMODATIONS: Campers are housed in residence halls on The University of Michigan campus. There is a $10 refundable key deposit due at registration. ALL RESIDENCE HALLS ARE SUPERVISED BY UNIVERSITY PERSONNEL – COUNSELORS, SECURITY, AND SUPERVISORS.
The dormitory experience may be intimidating for some younger campers. We STRONGLY advise those 10-12 year olds to attend with a friend. MEALS: Meals are prepared and served in each dormitory's cafeteria facilities. An exceptional menu with a wide assortment of foods will be prepared, with unlimited helpings that are sure to satisfy the biggest appetites.

Applicable Discounts If you have 2 or more immediate family members registering for the same camp you qualify for a $25.00 household discount for each additional child.
If you register for more than one 2010 swim camp you qualify for a $25.00 discount for each additional week. Qualified applicants can only receive one discount. (Mini-Camps Do Not Count)
On Line Registration-Spam Blockers All camps will check in at Canham Natatorium between 2 - 4 pm on the Sunday that camp begins. The first session will start at 6:30 pm. Supper is not provided on Sunday night.

Refunds No refunds will be made except for illness or injury. Requests must be in writing, and accompanied by a written physician's statement.
